Dr. Mamadou Bodian is a project coordinator at the West Africa Research Center (WARC) in Dakar. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida and is a founding member of the Sahel Research Group. Mamadou was a Researcher in the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Sahel and West Africa Programme. He was also a Project Coordinator for the Trans-Saharan Elections Programme (TSEP) at the University of Florida. From 2008 to 2009, he served as a Senior Researcher in the Project Office ‘Islam Research Programme’ at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Senegal, a project sponsored by Leiden University and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has been acting as an expert for Freedom House (Mali) since 2015, Variety of Democracy (Mauritania) since 2015, and Afrobarometer (Senegal) since 2018.
